Comic Book Tesseract 2012.01.25

Comic Book Tesseract, the weekly comics netcast that is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Every week we review and preview the world of comics along with other facets of geek-chic culture.

This week we talk about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Unwritten, Superman, Justice League and Incorruptible.  Justin gets lost in the Justice League Dark, is cool with American Vampire, and furious with the Fury of Firestorm.  Jason gets patriotic with Captain America and Bucky, sets an ultimatum with the Ultimates, shines with All Star Western, fears Batman and steals all the Green Lantern: New Guardians.  Plus we discuss the latest in Geek-Chic video games Abobo's Big Adventure and Super Mario Crossover, and the upcoming Avatar: Legend of Korra.  Why did John Rozum quit static shock?  We discuss it here.  Justin finds out one of his favorite series is coming to an end and what will the comics of the future look like.

Comic Book Tesseract 2012.01.11

This week we discuss Unwritten, Green Lantern, Suicide Squad, The Incredible Hulk and Scarlet Spider.Justin goes under cover with Pigs, takes a break in The Shade, finds a new mark with Grifter, and plays dead with Resurrection Man.  Meanwhile, Jason goes black ops with The Activity, places his bets on Brilliant, Fights for freedom with GI Joe: A Real American Hero, cuts loose with GI Joe:Snake Eyes, travels through Laos, Cambodia, and Tailand with GI Joe: Cobra Annual 2012, feels confident alongside Captain America, learns from Wolverine and the X-Men, gets introspective with Batgirl, and betrays himself with Batman and Robin.  We also discus changes to the DCnU as titles drop off and new ones roll out.  We also discuss Rob Liefelds new rolls.on three titles.  Plus what plans do Greg Rucka and Mark Waid have for the Punisher, Spider-Man and Daredevil?

This week we both read Uncanny X-men, Spaceman, Superman, Green Lantern New Guardians, The Cape, Incorruptible, and The Unwritten.  Justin takes a quick look at Wheel of Time, Dungeons & Dragons, Witch Doctor: The Resuscitation, Justice League Dark, Uncharted, Firestorm, Voodoo, Aquaman, and The Flash, and elaborates on Mice Templar, American Vampire and A Skeleton Story.  Jason reviews The Ultimates and gets patriotic with Captain America and Bucky and two issues of Captain America, plus he talks about Batman the Dark Knight.  Furthermore, we discuss what the best comics of the year were.
